There have been some DUST pieces of hockey equipment throughout the years. Yes, we all had the pleasure of seeing it while watching NHL games in the past, but let's not forget about all of the beer league heroes either. It's time to take a trip down memory lane and remember some of the uglier (but also kind of cool) equipment we've seen on the ice.

Brace yourselves....

HALF CAGE VISORS

These things were UGLY. If you're going to leave your jibs exposed, you may as well look cool doing it... right? The white didn't do the look any favours either. You won't find any NHLers wearing one of these on the ice anymore, however there's the occasional beer league hero that you can catch rocking one.

ARTURS IRBE'S PADS

If you watched hockey in the late 90s and early 2000s then you shouldn't have much difficulty remembering this beauty, or more notably his pads. The things were absolute pillows and looked like they were bought at a garage sale. But that's just Arturs for you! His style was legendary.

TOMMY SODERSTROM'S WHOLE SETUP

Soderstrom's entire setup warranted its own category. Where to even start? He rocked a JOFA and more notably used a cage that was WAY too big for the helmet. His pads and gloves were pretty dust but look at the stick... no tape! Not sure what the thought process was behind this look but it was pretty questionable. If we had to pick one part of the entire getup that sticks out the most... it's got to be the cage. Retire that thing forever.

COOPER XL7 HOCKEY HELMET

Uh... what? This might be the worst hockey helmet ever made. We're not sure what the thought process was on this one but it certainly did not age well. At least the ears were well protected...

MICRON HOCKEY SKATES

Pavel Bure rocked some cook Micron skates in his day but some of their pairs were just flat-out ugly Take these ones, for example, that looked like they were meant for rollerblading. Uch.

THE JOFA 366 VISER-ETT

It's so dust, but so beautiful at the same time. It just wouldn't have been right if this beauty didn't crack the list!

COOPERALLS

Lol these were too good. Who wouldn't want to see them brought back for a game?!

We know there have been a TON of dusty pieces of equipment in history, so let us know what else you think ranks near the top at @BarDown!
