Don't lie Leafs fans, when John Tavares signed with Toronto on July 1st, it was probably hard to resist playing the song "Coming Home" over and over again with excitement.
No player as good as Tavares has ever decided to turn down money from other teams to sign in Toronto and fulfil a childhood dream, so it's quite easy to understand why Leafs fans are so excited.
JT wasn't the only player to sign with his hometown team, though, and while these 5 other players we're about to highlight probably will not come close to making the same impact right now as Tavares, they're still going home!
(NOTE: These aren't the only 6 players that signed with their hometown team this offseason, but we're going with 6 of the bigger names to do so)
Josh Jooris, Toronto Maple Leafs
Jordan Subban, Toronto Maple Leafs
Michael Chaput, Montreal Canadiens
Chris Wagner, Boston Bruins
J.T. Brown, Minnesota Wild Matt Hendricks, Minnesota Wild
