2K already ranks Zion Williamson as NBA’s best dunker — but Raptors Vince Carter is better

He may not have played a game in the NBA yet, but 2K is going so far as to assign the highest dunk rating in the game to Zion Williamson.

No one, not even last year’s dunk contest winner Hamidou Diallo or other high-flyers such as Aaron Gordon, Zach LaVine or for that matter LeBron James, were given a rating that even tied Zion’s.

You’re allowed to make projections for players going into the NBA — as a video game, 2K is required to — but this will certainly raise some eyebrows. Of course, the Zion hype is nothing new, and only time will tell if he can justify this rating when the games start for real. His overall rating is more understandably the highest among rookies at 81.

Oh, but there is at least one player that can out-dunk Zion in 2K. He may have the top rating among current players in the NBA, but the version of Vince Carter from the all-time Raptors team still has him — and everybody else — beat. Can’t top the 99!
