Nathan MacKinnon, Sidney Crosby, and Brad Marchand going back to Nova Scotia and training together in the summer has become our favourite tradition.  The trio consists of three of the best hockey players in the world and one of the best ways to improve is by training with the best of the best.

Other big names join in on the summer skates with the three and this time around, the first overall pick from the 2019 NHL draft, Jack Hughes, was out on the ice in preparation of his first season in the National Hockey League.

As per John Moore, Hughes was the youngest player at the sessions, but he's got more than enough talent (as you can see) to keep up with the best players in the world.

Hughes wasn't the only young prospect (from his family no less) at the sessions, either.  Players like Shane Bowers and Drake Batherson were among the many youngsters getting in work before the start of the season.
