If you thought the football season was over, you're mistaken because Saturday, the XFL makes its anticipated return.

The league that was founded over two decades ago, but folded after just one season, is back again with some unique rules (nowhere near as insane as they were during the league's first run) and some big names that many football fans will recognize.
Ahead of opening weekend, we wanted to provide a list of 10 names to watch and chances are, you'll probably recognize the names.

Landry Jones - Dallas Renegades

Jones had a brief stint in the NFL with the Steelers. He started 5 games over three seasons and threw 8 touchdown passes in that span.

Eli Rogers - DC Defenders

Another former Steeler, Rogers signed with Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent in 2015. During his time in the 'Steel City', he amassed 822 receiving yards and caught 4 touchdowns.

Cardale Jones - DC Defenders

A former draft pick of the Buffalo Bills, Jones was a star at Ohio State and won a National Championship with the Buckeyes.

Rahim Moore - DC Defenders

DC is loaded with former NFL talent, including Moore who's most known for the Hail Mary pass he allowed against the Ravens during his time in Denver.

Sammie Coates - Houston Roughnecks

Another former Steeler, Coates played college ball at Auburn and set the school record with over 200 yards in the Iron Bowl in 2014. He was most recently with KC, but was released before this past season.

Connor Cook - Houston Roughnecks

Cook will be familiar to Michigan State and Raiders fans, but his stint in the NFL wasn't very long and he reportedly won't be starting for Houston.

Josh Johnson - LA Wildcats

NFL fans know Johnson well as he's been in the league by way of being on a roster or practice squad since 2008.  In 2018, he started 3 games for Washington.

Shawn Oakman - LA Wildcats

Remember the really jacked dude on Baylor.  This is him and he's playing in the XFL.

Marquette King - Seattle Dragons

One of the few punters who was never afraid to show his personality, King is back in football and we're very excited about that.

Will Hill - Seattle Dragons

A National Champion in college and the most impactful player from a production perspective on this list, Hill didn't have a long a long career in the NFL, but he did make plays, particularly in Baltimore. He also played in the CFL for Hamilton.
