Growing up as a kid, birthday parties might be one of the most exciting events one would experience. There’s cake, chips, pop and all sorts of other fast food that’ll surely give the party life. Furthermore, the birthday boy or girl can welcome a party guest in the form of a clown, a Disney’s character or a magician that surely captivate their friends and even get the parents intrigued.
A young Oilers fan in Edmonton named Alex is hoping to take his birthday party to the next level by asking Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid to celebrate with his friends and family when the youngster turns ten.
“Can you come to my birthday party. I will be turning ten on July 6th 11:00am – 5:00 pm. The next day you don’t have to sleep over. I saw the video of when the teenagers were being rude to you when you were trying to leave the restaurant with your parents so your invited to my birthday party. We will be having a street hockey game so you might want to bring Darnel Nurse for defense and a tough guy like Zack Kassian or Jujhar Khaira. If you need any more details here my number for my house.”
How adorable. The sentence structure and scribbled out marks around Khaira's name is just too cute. They even make note of when McDavid was hassled by a group of teenagers outside an Edmonton restaurant.
Let’s hope Connor shows up and partakes in the birthday and is able to play road hockey with Alex and all of his friends. It would be fantastic if McDavid was able to round up some of his teammates, too, and you know even the parents would be bouncing off the walls.
