Over in Russia, the first round of the KHL playoffs are underway.

The CKSA Moscow came in as the second seed seeking their and are looking for their second Gagarin Cup in club history. CKSA is battling Jokerit and on Thursday, the two teams were back at it with CKSA leading the series 3-1.

Looking to close it out, the Moscow club looked to their big guns to advance to the second round. Minnesota Wild prospect Kirill Kaprizov tied for the team lead in points during the regular season by potting 15 goals and 28 assists for 43 points in 48 games played.

The 20-year-old is property of the Minnesota Wild, and during Thursday’s game, the Russian prospect showed why he’s so coveted with this ridiculous backhand snipe while on his knees.

Ridiculous.

You can see how strong Kaprizov is on his skates as he takes the puck on his backhand behind the with a defenceman draped all over over him. He’s still able to control the puck as he falls down, turns around, and roofs one past former NHL goaltender Kari Ramo.

The Wild's fifth round pick in 2015 (135th overall) is under contract in the KHL until April of 2020, meaning Wild fans will have to wait two more years before jumping over to North America, which the KHL star reportedly wants to do.
