The World Juniors are right around the corner, and we know that Canadians are excited as always. After winning gold at the 2020 WJC in Czech Republic, how special would it be to see Canada repeat on home ice in Edmonton?

Over the years, we’ve seen Team Canada rock some absolute gems at the World Juniors. This year, they’re also going to be packing some incredible custom skates courtesy of Bauer.

Some great Canadian hockey moments have happened at the World Juniors, and we’ve grown to associate our favourite moments with specific uniforms. Then, you just have some designs that are just too good not to love. Which is your favourite Team Canada World Juniors jersey?

The 2020 black jersey

Team Canada was back in black last year — always a sleek choice that allows the red on the uniform to pop. We’ll tell ya, these looked good on the ice when the guys were celebrating their World Juniors championship.

The 2009 jersey

The 2009 Team Canada squad is remembered as one of the best WJ teams ever, with John Tavares leading the way and Jordan Eberle of course scoring one of the most memorable goals in tournament history.

Fittingly, the 2009 uniform is probably as close as it gets to a ‘classic’ Team Canada look, with the red base and familiar logo front and centre.

The 2015 heritage jersey

Celebrating 100 years of Hockey Canada, these jerseys threw it back to the vintage lettering of classic Canada jerseys from way back, and we have to love the simple look here — as well as the fact that Connor McDavid won World Juniors gold wearing these bad boys.

The 2012 alternate

Another throwback look! This alternate logo, certainly one of the more funky ones in the program's history, traces back to the 1992 jersey.

The 2010 green jersey

Of course, when we’re talking about memorable jerseys from Canada’s history, we have to talk about when the Canadians wore green in 2010. With the World Juniors hosted in Saskatchewan that year, the Canadians decided to go green in honour of the Roughriders. We love a CFL/World Juniors crossover, don’t we?!
