Here at BarDown, we’re big fans of the intersection between pets and our favourite professional athletes. Remember when a bunch of NHL teams were all adopting dogs? We definitely do!
Yeah, puppy + hockey player content is truly what BarDown dreams are made of.
While we’ve been gifted with a whole lot of hockey dogs over the past few NHL seasons, we can’t help but take note of one terrible omission in fun hockey player pet content: cats.
Okay, okay, we know a lot of people aren’t cat people, but wasn’t the internet founded upon hilarious cat videos gong viral?
We know a whole slew of hockey players have dog Instagrams, but last night – right before he scored his OT winner – we discovered something ground-breaking: Nick Suzuki has a catstagram.
How sweet, right?
Okay, here’s the kicker. Last night, before the Habs had to play for their lives against the highly-skilled Maple Leafs, Milo posted a good luck wish while sporting a very adorable tie (note: we know the cat didn’t actually post this, but we will be referring to this post like he did because we can).
Spoiler alert: the luck worked!
In conclusion, Nick Suzuki scores overtime winners to keep his team alive in 100% of games that his cat wishes him good luck on Instagram. Stats don’t lie, people.
