Mike Myers and Dana Carvey became legends in the comedy industry with their infamous Wayne’s World skit, which eventually evolved into a movie for the ages. Its fans know that Wayne and Garth were huge hockey fans, and this prompted the USHL’s Chicago Steel to give their best rendition in a hilarious parody in honour of the classic’s 25th anniversary. The show was broadcasted on Aurora Cable 10 last night, which is the city where the show originally took place. Aurora is very close to where the Steelers play their home games, in Fox Valley Ice Arena.

The team will also celebrate the 25th anniversary tonight during a home game. According to the team’s YouTube account, fans are encouraged to attend the game dressed like Wayne and Garth. The evening’s festivities will also include Wayne’s World trivia. The Steel are not the only ones getting in on the Wayne’s World fun this weekend, though. The infamous Stan Mikita Donut Shop was temporarily opened for the NHL All-Star weekend in Los Angeles, California.

This organization has taken its fandom to the next level.
