Team U.S.A. goaltender Maddie Rooney was sensational during the Pyeongchang Olympics and propelled her team to a big win over Canada to capture the women’s hockey gold medal.
The 20-year-old goaltender appeared on Monday edition of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” along with some of her Olympic teammates.
After the Olmypics ended, Rooney sent a tweet to Justin Bieber asking if he needed an extra ‘tendy for his beer league team.
Rooney still hasn’t heard back from the pop superstar when asked by Fallon if the Biebs had reached out to her. The gold medalist then said she wants to face Bieber one-on-one to see if he can find the back of the net on her.
After the show, Rooney, who was wearing a “Team Bieber” under her U.S.A. Hockey jersey, and reached out to Bieber on Twitter once again.
Will the Canadian reply? He’s definitely a competent skater and can play.
One thing for sure is that Bieber, despite living in the States, won’t be wearing an American hockey jersey like the custom one Fallon was presented with by the team.
