Heading into the season, if we told you that a player with “Diggs” scrawled across his jersey nameplate were to be the most impactful player at his position, you likely wouldn’t have been surprised. After all, Stefon Diggs has proven to be an elite option catching passes in the Buffalo offence.

That’s not who we’re talking about, though! We’re talking about Stefon’s brother, Trevon Diggs.

The Dallas Cowboys defensive back has had an other worldly start to the NFL season. While every single defender in the game would call a seven interception season a successful one, Diggs has only needed six weeks to reach the mark.

He wasn’t just picking on one quarterback, either. In fact, only one quarterback (Sam Darnold) threw more than one pick to Diggs. Through 6 weeks, Diggs has at least one interception in EVERY game.

Six straight games to start the season is PRETTY good. In fact, it’s now tied for the best streak to start season all time.

Obviously the football world exploded because of the record, but the significance of this pick shouldn’t be overlooked either. Diggs took the pick to the house, swinging momentum and putting the Dallas Cowboys on top. The ‘Boys would go on to win the back-and-forth contest in overtime.

It was his second Pick-6 of the year. To put that into perspective…

Yep. Trevon has more touchdowns than his own brother, Stefon. In fairness, Stefon still has to play his Week 6 game when the Bills take on the Titans on Monday Night Football.

For the sake of due diligence, we should also mention that Diggs got burned after the Pick-6 on a long Kendrick Bourne touchdown. He could have used some safety help, but we’re guessing Trevon would want this one back.

Either way, Trevon Diggs has had an unreal start to the year.
