If you’re going to learn the ropes of the NBA from anyone as a young player then Vince Carter is a pretty good mentor to have on your side.

Over 22 seasons, Carter has suited up for eight teams and a total of 1,541 games and he’s using his experience to use as the veteran of the league and a mentor to young players both on his team and throughout the NBA.

On Monday, Trae Young spoke to Ernie Johnson and touched on what it’s like to be Carter’s teammate and the type of things they talk about on a daily basis when they’re around each other.

Vinsanity is the man who stole the show at the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest, but Yoda is the man who you see still playing in the league today.
