On Friday, there was a moment in the game between the Boston Bruins and the Washington Capitals that garnered a ton of reaction after a questionably scary hit by Tom Wilson when he boarded Brandon Carlo. Carlo looked pretty shaken up and had to be helped off the ice.

At one point, Brad Marchand called out Wilson for the hit in his interview during intermission.

The NHL Department of Player Safety reviewed the hit, in the explanation video, the Department of Player Safety described Carlo as “defenseless,” and on Saturday, decided to suspend Wilson for seven games, without pay which means he'll be forfeiting $311,781.61 in salary.

And the NHL world doesn't know how to feel about it, it seems they're split on the decision.

It was noted by the NHL that Wilson may appeal the seven-game suspension.
