Today is Eli Manning day’s. His illustrious career with the New York Giants has come to an end as he retires from the NFL after 16 seasons. It’s rare that a player spends their entire career with one organization, but that’s what Eli Manning did as the Giants quarterback.
The highlights of Eli’s storied career are his two Super Bowl wins over the New England Patriots.
Unfortunately for Tom Brady, Eli’s highlights happened to be his low-lights. With that in mind, Brady reached out to congratulate Eli Manning on twitter.
Those two Super Bowls that Brady are alluding to are some of the best ever. Thanks to some late game heroics by Eli Manning, we were able to witness moments like David Tyree’s helmet catch. Moments that also haunt Brady’s former teammate, Tedy Bruschi.
It’s crazy to think that Tom Brady was that close to having eight Super Bowl rings. Although Brady will never forget those two losses to the Giants, his congratulations towards Eli are no doubt sincere.
