We’ve all heard the saying “all good things comes to and”, but apparently that isn’t the case for Tiger Woods. The Cypress, California native was an instant hit the moment he stepped into the professional golf scene, capturing the 1996 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year and following it up with the 1997 PGA Player of the Year.

However, the injuries starting to pile up as the man once known as the most dominant player in the world started to get older and he took a tumble down the world leaderboard. But after years after being told to just call it a career and that he’ll never get back to his old form, the 42-year-old finished in the top five at the Valspar Championship on Sunday for the first time in nearly five years.

Considering this is Woods’ first time finishing in the top five in nearly 1,700 days, fans loved every second of his rise to the top of the leaderboards and the feeling of nostalgia it provided them to wrap up the weekend.

Tiger Woods proved just about everyone wrong on Sunday by finishing one shot behind the winner and hopefully he has a few more outings like this waiting for everyone up his sleeve because it was awesome.
