At last, the moment Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights fans have all been waiting for; the reunion between The Pens and their former goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.
During his time in Pittsburgh, Fleury was viewed primarily as a hero in the city. Through 13 seasons, ‘The Flower’ as he is better known as, played 692 regular season games and helped the franchise win three Stanley Cups. His first came in 2009 when he served as the starter throughout the duration of the team’s playoff run.

Today he is squaring off against his former team for the first time and took hardly any time to reacquaint himself with former teammates. Prior to puck drop, Fleury was seen chatting with his old buddy, Pens current starter Matt Murray. It appears as though the two haven’t missed a beat.
Fans were torn between which goalie to cheer for. If you’re a Pittsburgh fans you obviously want to see your team win, but on the other, it will be daunting to watch them score on a goalie with such great significance to your franchise. One fan couldn’t make up his find, so he prompted to get two jerseys stitched together; one with Murray’s name and the other with Fleury’s.
He probably got some strange looks, but no one can question his loyalty.
It can be frustrating for die-hard fans to see a fellow spectator support both teams in action, but it’s tough to blame the Fleury supporters when you consider his impact on both organizations. The Flower is simply one of the game’s best personalities.
