This Saturday’s NBA Slam Dunk Contest features a number of the league’s up and comers going at it for aerial supremacy; you have the Hornets’ Miles Bridges, the Hawks’ John Collins, the Thunder’s Hamidou Diallo and the Knicks’ Dennis Smith Jr. Two sophomores and two rookies, high-flyers all.
But perhaps Terrence Ross is making an 11th-hour push to get in. That’s at least what we can infer from this savage up-and-under reverse poster on the baseline — poor Willy Hernangomez.
The body contortion on this is nuts. Let's go straight to the source for more.
It isn't Kobe, but this is actually pretty similar to a dunk performed by Ross’ old Raptors teammate, DeMar DeRozan, way back in 2011, except Ross did it for two points that count, and over a big man to boot.
Don’t we all know this by now, but Ross is no stranger to the acrobatics. He won the Slam Dunk Contest back in 2013, which might cast some doubt on if he actually wants back in — instead, he was reported to have some interest in joining the 3-Point Shootout lineup.
But, hey, if T-Ross has any more like these in the bag, we sure want to see them.
