The Keanu Reeves-starring John Wick series is a throwback to the days of 80’s action glory, when kinetic pistol-whipping and headshots reigned supreme. The eponymous hero is a legendary contract killer, most often pitted against fellow assassains and other underworld lurkers. He tends to win.
Now, joining the cast of franchise’s 2019 release John Wick: Chapter 3, is Los Angeles Clippers center Boban Marjanovic. Although he isn’t an NBA star by any means, he is rather notable for one thing: He measures at 7’4, 290 lbs. According to Collider, Marjanovic will play one of a group of assassins trying to take down John Wick in the film.
To reiterate: Marjanovic is huge. He might be able to put up a fight with just his bare hands, which, by the way, are freakishly large. Let’s look at some pictures of this big boy:
Of course, John Wick will emerge victorious, because that’s what John Wick does, but you can be sure that it’ll be a sight to see. It really is a callback to action movies of old, which would regularly feature celebrity cameos for some of the best wink-wink fight scenes that Hollywood has ever produced.
We’re not saying Boban Marjanovic in John Wick: Chapter 3 is going to be as great as Hulk Hogan in Rocky III by any means, but hey... you never know.
