Cities across Canada have been hosting public viewing parties during the NBA Finals in their own versions of Jurassic Park and it turns out these viewing parties aren’t just happening in Canada.
Fred VanVleet was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, and his hometown is showing the Toronto Raptors guard plenty of love during his team’s historic run.
The city of Rockford put together their own Jurassic Park for Game 5 and 3,500 people showed up to watch the game and cheer on VanVleet and the Raptors.
It’s pretty awesome to see all the support the Raptors have been getting during this run in the NBA Finals, especially since the love is coming from beyond the border, as well.
