Today, we learned something very interesting and exciting.

Wiener dogs and hockey go together more than we thought.

The OHL's Ottawa 67s hosted their seventh annual wiener dog race during their game against the London Knights this afternoon, and despite the fact that the hockey game featured a hard fought battle between two of the league's best teams, it was probably the highlight of the game.

This wasn't all the short-legged canine entertainment fans in Ottawa were treated to, and there was also - get this - a corgi parade!

Apparently, hockey and wiener dogs go together more than we've ever really considered. Just a week ago, the Sioux Falls Stampede hosted a game where they not only had a wiener dog race, but also re-branded as the Fighting Wiener Dogs for the night!

Hockey and wiener dogs.

The pairing we didn't know we needed.
