Tis' the season for playing hockey on outdoor rinks. It's the middle of January, it's still cold and there's snow falling. All of those are the perfect ingredients for outdoor hockey.
As great as it is going to a local outdoor rink, it's an even better experience to build one in your backyard and have it there for the entire winter.
Like hockey fans, hockey players have outdoor rinks in their backyards, too, and the Marleau family has one of the best outdoor rinks we've seen.
The rink was created by a company in Barrie called First Line Rinks and they did an absolutely incredible job creating a rink for his four kids, he and his wife to enjoy!
There's also an incredible story behind the rink, too. Apparently the rink may have been a surprise for the boys and they didn't know about it until seeing the picture First Line Rinks posted.
The rink is incredible and we're sure the Marleau family has enjoyed playing puck on it over the last couple of weeks. Who knows, maybe next time of all six Patrick's kids will play some hockey on the ODR. (H/T: Christina Marleau)
