Connor McDavid is the reigning Hart trophy winner and although his or his team’s season hasn’t gone quite like most expected it to this year, most teams focus their energy on stopping him any time the Oilers show up on the schedule.
The Kings were able to slow him down from the pace he had set the night before (He only collected two points instead of five) and were able to get the win.
On top of that, they got their chirps in as well. McDavid posed with Doughty before the game and the Kings decided to throw a little shade on Twitter. Just check out this photo that they took of Drew Doughty and a “fan”.
McDavid did end up walking Doughty for a goal at one point, but the Kings ended up leaving with the victory. The win moved LA back into a playoff spot for the time being. The McDavid and Doughty chats didn’t stop there either, we’re sure they had plenty of chirps flying back and forth on the ice all night.
