It wasn’t long ago when the baseball world was reaction to Bryce Harper’s $330M contract, and how could you not? It was a record setter, and all around a huge sum of money that most of us can only dream of ever making. Not even winning the lottery would bring those kinds of riches most of the time!

Well step aside, Bryce… There’s a new contract in town.

Mike Trout – who is widely considered to be the best position player in the league – was rewarded in a big way on Tuesday. The star outfielder will be making $430 million over the next 12 years as the result of a 10-year extension handed to him by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

While the reaction to the contract itself was something else, the ones directed towards the hot-headed Bryce Harper were even better. Especially after he tried to recruit Trout to the Phillies.
