The Golden Knights have been the talk of the NHL season and that's continued into the playoffs as Vegas got its first ever postseason victory in its first ever postseason game.
The fact that an expansion team is in the playoffs in its inaugural season is remarkable and it's really easy to root for the Golden Knights to continue to have success because their run has been nothing short of magical up to this point.
Speaking of rooting for the Golden Knights, as per Ian Thomas of SportsBusiness Daily/Journal, Vegas finished 1st in team merchandise sales this season, according to Fanatics:
The fact that Golden Knights gear was sold to nearly 90 countries across the world is incredible in itself.
Furthermore, the top markets for Golden Knights merchandise outside of Vegas are quite interesting.
Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, and Chicago are four of the premiere hockey markets in the United States. Vegas fever has spread all over the world, though, and if the team makes a deep playoff run, that will only make it spread more.
