Patrick Mahomes’ basketball career has come to an end.
A couple of days ago, a clip of the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback showing off his handles and embarrassing defenders in a pickup basketball game went viral and it didn’t take long for his team to step in.
Shortly after coming across the clip, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach and his staff reached out to Mahomes’ agent to make sure that he doesn’t step back onto a basketball court anytime soon, especially after the season he just had.
You can’t blame Veach and the Chiefs for stepping in like this considering the 23-year-old just captured the NFL Offensive Player of the Year and was awarded the NFL MVP after throwing for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns in his first season.
