A few days ago, a fan found an interesting Capitals jersey at a store that nobody had ever seen before.
The Capitals face the Leafs on March 3rd at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, so many assumed this mystery jersey was Washington's Stadium Series sweater.
Turns out whoever thought that was right as the Capitals unveiled their jerseys for the outdoor game on Wednesday.
The jerseys are unique and like nothing we've ever seen before to say the least. The font for 'Caps' is the same as the font used on their current jerseys, but the team has never had 'Caps' on a jersey before.
There are other details like the thick red stripe at the bottom of the jersey or the white stripes on the shoulders that stand out, too, and once the jerseys were revealed, fans reacted with some positive, but mostly negative comments.
