While the city of Tampa are on an ultimate high after winning the Buccaneers won their first Super Bowl since 2003, there are still the Patriots fans in Boston that can’t help but watch from the outside looking in.
Losing Tom Brady hurt REAL bad for Boston sports, but losing both Brady and Rob Gronkowski is almost like a slap in the face because it’s kind of like watching the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
And with Tom taking his talents to South Beach to win the city a title, many of those Pats fans decided to continue along with him on his journey.
More so than even in Tampa, according to this year’s Super Bowl ratings.
According to John Ourand of Sports Business Daily, the viewership rating out of Boston was 57.6, whereas viewership in Tampa sat at 52.3.
Even more, Boston’s rating surpasses all but just one of Brady’s past Super Bowl appearances while with the Pats.
We get it, it hurts. Tom is the one that got away. It’s like seeing your ex moving on happily.
All jokes aside though, it’s great to see TB12’s fans follow him wherever he goes. That’s beyond loyal stuff right there.
