P.K. Subban was traded to the Nashville Predators nearly two years ago but the 28-year-old defenceman is still a fan favourite in Montreal.

Subban did just about anything and everything during his time with the Canadiens as he was always out and about in the community doing whatever he could to put a smile on a fan’s face. The biggest thing he did during his seven years in Montreal was the commitment he made to raise $10 million for the Montreal Children’s Hospital by 2022.

Although Subban hasn’t called Montreal his home since the summer of 2016, the 2013 James Norris Memorial Trophy winner has stayed true to his word and is still raising money for the Montreal Children’s Hospital despite now living in Nashville during the season.

With the Predators set to take on the Canadiens on Saturday night in Montreal, Subban used Friday’s day off to visit some of his old friends at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and he brought some of his new friends with him.

Subban was joined on his visit by some of his Predators teammates, including Scott Hartnell, Roman Josi, Ryan Johansen, Anthony Bitetto, Nick Bonino and Matt Irwin. The guys not only signed some autographs and posed for photos with the patients and their families, but they spent the entire day visiting the kids in their rooms and interacting with them.

It's truly amazing how much Subban does for both Montreal and Nashville and he’s certainly someone young players around the world can look up to.
