Steve Nash put his well-documented soccer skills to the test with rising NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo by challenging him to a header rally.

“We can get like 4 or 5, I think,” says Antetokounmpo in the clip.

“I think we can get 20,” responds Nash.

Perhaps they should have guessed a few more than 20, as it resulted in the two crushing both of their pre-rally predictions. The pair eventually totaled 94 headers in a row before losing their streak when Nash headed the ball out of reach of the 6’11 forward.

What prompted the two to play in the first place remains a mystery but it’s possible that Nash saw this clip of Antetokounmpo from 2015, which features the Greek Freak honing his header skills during a workout session in China.

This isn’t the first time this year that Nash has gone head-to-head against a rising NBA Star in soccer. Ahead of the NBA All-Star break in Los Angeles, Nash challenged Joel Embiid to a modified game of ping pong using a soccer ball and their heads as paddles.

As younger generational talents like Antetokounmpo begin to take over the league, it’s great to see a past legend like Steve Nash taking the time to interact with them. Perhaps if Antetokounmpo ever participates in the dunk contest, we could see the skills Nash demonstrated with Amar'e Stoudemire come out of the wood work once again.
