Monday night’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals was one of the roughest games we’ve seen this year in the NFL.

While there were tons of penalties and big hits in the contest, the scariest moment came early on in the first quarter when Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier suffered a back injury on an attempt to make a tackle and was unable to move his lower extremities.

No one knew how serious the injury truly was until Steelers GM/VP Kevin Colbert issued the following statement after the game.

Shazier’s teammates and the rest of the football community showed their support for the former first round draft pick and sent all their positive thoughts and vibes his way.

After the scary scene in Cincinnati on Monday night, the football community received some very good news as Shazier showed promising signs just over 12 hours after the scary injury.

On Tuesday evening, he broke his silence and reached out to his supporters and the rest of the football community through his social feeds.

The 25-year-old still has some work to do until he can even think about returning to the football field, but it’s awesome to see nothing but positive news in regards to his status.
