Many hockey players are very picky about their equipment and have very particular ways of doing things with their sticks, skates and protective gear.
This is something that players are constantly refining as most will re-evaluate their sticks at the end of the season and sometimes as the season progresses. Well, Stamkos thought he’d do a little re-evaluation of his sticks by taking a peak at some of the other players’ – the only thing was, he didn’t realize it was on camera.

Stamkos mine as well have been a secret agent this weekend.
He was trying to recruit players to Tampa, collecting details on their stick preferences and who knows what else. Perhaps he picked up on some tape jobs that he could borrow over the weekend. We know that’s what we would have been doing.
