Twenty-five years ago this week Happy Gilmore stunned the golf world as he was crowned champion at the 1996 TOUR Championship.
It was a one and done for the famous golfer as he hasn’t returned to tournament action ever since then, but the TOUR Championship is hoping they can get him back on the green this upcoming August.
Even if it was just for one swing, it’s something that both fans and golfers would get a kick out of.
Maybe if we’re lucky we’ll get one final showdown between Happy Gilmore and Shooter McGavin this summer…
