Earlier this week in a Champions League qualifier between F91 Dudelange OF of Luxembourg and Hungarian club MOL Vidi FC, things got a little carried away during extra time.

In sports like hockey, we've seen how in the final few minutes that tempers start to flare up, setting the stage for the next battle. In this match out on the pitch, it was no different, except for the fact that you don't ever see hockey players kick other hockey players. Frustrations boiled over as Luxembourg fell 3-2 on aggregate in the second leg of their series. Dudelange defender Bryan Melisse decided to jump-kick Vidi's Mate Patkai right in the stomach after clearing a ball that was propelled down field.

Have a watch.

A double dropkick to the midsection in mid-air with cleats on. Yikes

Melisse, rightfully so, was ejected immediately with a red. The worst part of it all? Melisse's teammates tried to defund his stupid, carelessness and dangerous act. Poor sports.

Soccer fans might remember something similar from the 2010 World Cup FInal involving Nigel de Jong of the Netherlands.
