Although many Canadians may complain about the winter, it's actually not as bad of a season as it's made out to be.
Sure, it's cold and no one enjoys driving in snow, but there are so many incredible activities to do and places to discover. Plus, there's nothing like a beautiful snow-covered landscape to rack up the Instagram likes.
The most common winter activity that a lot of people enjoy is skiing or snowboarding, and judging by the past few Winter Olympic Games, this country has some pretty incredible athletes in those sports.
As part of MUCH's "Far and Wide" campaign, which is geared to showcase the best of Canada, pro snowboarders Craig McMorris, the brother of Mark McMorris from Saskatchewan, and Marie-France Roy, from Quebec, ventured out to Alberta to explore the great province and shred, of course.
For those that have never been to Alberta before, Craig and Marie's adventure should convince you to go and discover it for yourselves.
That's what the whole Far and Wide campaign is about, getting out and discovering this great country of ours. We're all very familiar with what's in our own backyard, but beyond that is a whole country full of new adventures and experiences waiting to be discovered.
