Last week San Jose Sharks captain Joe Thornton had underwent surgery on his right knee and is expected to be out of action for quite some time.
Naturally, fans of the Sharks have missed Jumbo Joe's presence since his departure to the injury reserve list, and that includes the hosts of one of the team's pre-game show. Tuesday, NBC hosts Brodie Brazil and Curtis Brown introduced a segment called "Jumbo, If You're Watching." In the segment, the two hosts pretty essentially profess their love for the Sharks star, explaining just how much they miss him.
We really, really, really hope Jumbo was watching that, because we;re sure he would have a few things to say in response. All positive, as that segment was way too funny. But we think Brazil and Brown are 100 percent correct about Joe being nowhere near Twitter. "No chance, bud," indeed.
