Over the years we’ve seen a lot of football players completely blow an easy touchdown by showboating before they actually step inside the end zone. From high school football to the NFL, it’s happened at every possible level.
On Friday night, Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Bakari Grant became the newest member of the ‘I showboated too early’ list, by blowing an easy touchdown late in the second quarter of action against the Montreal Alouettes.
The play should have ended with a Roughriders touchdown celebration, but instead it turned into an Alouettes possession.
The 30-year-old receiver knew he made a big mistake almost immediately as you can see him react while sitting on the ground inside the end zone without the ball in his hands.
