Is Gronk about to pull a Jason Witten?
Just when you thought it was over and Rob Gronkowski was hanging up his cleats for a TV analyst gig, the man finds a way to keep the possibility of his NFL return alive. The most recent wave of speculation comes thanks to Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who dropped the nugget that Gronk had yet to file his retirement papers.
Even when Gronk initially retired, it was met with some skepticism from the football world, and speculation about his return hit a fever pitch when the Patriots added Antonio Brown to their receiving corps. Obviously, that’s behind us now, but it looks Gronk could be back yet, TV job or no.
No need to rush things for now, though. At the moment, we’re just looking forward to Gronk’s broadcast debut on this week’s Thurday Night Football. Is there even a recent NFLer better suited for TV?
