The New York Knicks are on the brink of elimination as they take on the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5. They will have the benefit of playing at home in front of what is sure to be a raucous MSG crowd, but the daunting thought of a looming offseason is enough to make Knicks fans shutter.
The Knicks will have to do the improbable and come back from a 3-1 series deficit, but Canadian sophomore RJ Barrett isn’t about to start discussing the offseason just yet.
Barrett was asked during media availability how he views the season overall if the Knicks can’t find a win Wednesday night. Barrett hit him with this…
“Stupid ass question…” If you’re the reporter, those are three words you never, ever want to hear.
Barrett is coming off a 21 point performance in Sunday’s Game 4 loss, so he’ll look to find another gear as the Knicks fight for their lives. He certainly has the support of all those sporting Knicks logos tonight.
