Steve Yzerman shocked the hockey world Tuesday when he stepped down as the General Manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning.  Aside from shock, the initial reaction from a lot of fans when they heard the news about Yzerman was something along the lines of this:
Red Wings fans are convinced Yzerman is coming home to Detroit and a report from Helene St. James of the Free Press would seem to confirm those suspicions:
It's important to note that Yzerman has one year left on his contract and plans to step into an advisory role with the Lightning, while Ken Holland signed a two-year extension with Detroit in April.
That said, this report has Red Wings fans very excited about not only the odds of Yzerman returning, but their team's future.
