Rafael Nadal has been one of the most dominant tennis players in the world for a very long time and the current world No. 1 ranked men’s player has a chance to add some more hardware to his trophy case on Sunday at the French Open.
With Nadal’s big match right around the corner, Nintendo took advantage of the timing and dropped its new ad for Mario Tennis Aces for Nintendo Switch since it happens to feature the 10-time French Open champion. While he’s played against just about every tennis star in the world over the course of his career, Nadal went up against an opponent he’s never faced before in Mario from the Super Mario franchise.
Obviously you won’t get a chance to play as Nadal in the upcoming release, but it doesn’t hurt to have the world’s No.1 men’s tennis player in your promotional trailer.
The game is set to hit stores on June 22, and will be the first version of a Mario Tennis game to feature a story mode since Mario Tennis: Power Tour, which was released back in 2005.
