A lot of hockey fans will have their eyes on the NHL All-Star Skills Competition and All-Star Game this weekend, but there’s still plenty of hockey taking place around the world.
On Friday night, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada hosted the Sherbrooke Phoenix and the home crowd was treated to quite the show as the two teams combined for 11 goals throughout the night.
With the home team already leading 6-4 late in the game and less than two minutes away from capturing their sixth straight game, Joel Teasdale put the game out of reach with an outstanding between-the-legs goal.
Despite standing right in front of the goalie just outside of the crease, the 18-year-old left winger managed to pull off one of the sweetest moves for his 22nd goal of the season.
After scoring 18 goals and adding 29 assists for 47 points in 60 games last season, Teasdale has already notched 22 goals and 25 assists for 47 points in just 46 games this year and is expecting to hear his name called at this summer’s NHL Entry Draft.
