It's always weird when rival teams make a trade with one another. Leafs fans are still trying to wrap their heads around the trade the team made on Sunday, for example.
Tomas Plekanec and his legendary turtleneck are coming to Toronto and it's going to take some time for fans to get used to seeing him in a Leafs jersey. It's also going to take fans some time to get used to his new look as he shaved upon meeting with his new team Monday.
Lou Lamoriello and the Leafs have a rule about players being clean shaven and Plekanec made sure to get rid of his goatee before meeting Mike Babcock and company. Parting ways with his facial hair was probably bittersweet for the former Hab, too, considering he's had for basically his entire career.
Toronto fans are probably hoping Lou makes him get rid of the turtleneck, too, but the chances of that happening or slim in our opinion, so get used to it.
