With the Winter Olympics in full swing, we’re starting to get a feel for some of the athletes and their personalities taking part in the games.
United States curler Matt Hamilton drew the attention of the internet over the first few days and was made into a meme for his striking resemblance to Mario. Wearing a red Team USA shirt with a red hat and a circular logo while sporting a tremendous red mustache, the internet did what the internet does and came to conclusion that Hamilton was a spitting image of the Nintendo character.

Hamilton fully embraced the comparison, and even posted an image of the Nintendo character’s face on his body.
Hamilton hails from Wisconsin, and is participating with his teammate and sister Becca in the mixed doubles events, as well as the Men’s curling. The sibling duo unfortunately saw their mixed doubles run come to an end after Sunday’s match.
Mario wasn’t the only character compared to Hamilton.
Now, the internet has declared he looks like Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, which might be the most accurate comparison yet. I mean, just look at that ‘stache.
To add to his popularity at the Winter Games, Hamilton posed for a photo with Canadian curler John Morris with the two each holding a good old fashion tallboy of Molson Canadian.
Something tells us Hamilton is enjoying himself at these games.
