Early in the playoffs, people were talking a lot about the Drake curse, but someone else seems to have taken over by cursing the teams they choose to root for.

Paul Pierce has never been too well-liked in Toronto after finding success against the Raptors when he was still playing and now basically anytime he says anything against the team, people get pretty fired up. It’s become even more of a focus because he has jumped to conclusions early in two straight series.

The first was when the Celtics won Game 1 against the Bucks and he declared the series over, in favour of the Celtics. The Bucks then went on to win four straight games.

Basically the same thing happened with the Bucks as he tweeted this after Game 2:

Since then, the Raptors have won three straight games.

And the worst part is that he could have been fine if he just stuck to his predictions. He actually picked the Raptors to win on the ESPN panel before the series started.

If the Raptors win on Saturday, the Pierce curse might overtake the Drake curse, especially considering Drake went the other way with it.
