Right now, the Winnipeg Jets are in first place in the Central Division and depending on what happens in the Nashville and Ottawa game, they will be in first entering play Friday night when they host the Blues.
The Jets are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games and they've been almost unbeatable on home ice. What makes their latest stretch of great play more impressive, though, is that they've done it without Mark Scheifele.
Ahead of Scheifele's highly anticipated return Friday, Paul Maurice had this to say when someone brought up the team's record since he was injured.
The sarcasm can be felt from a mile away and we absolutely love it.
As good as the Jets played without him, we imagine everyone in the Jets' organization is happy to have him back as the team continues its playoff push.
