When the Falcons were up 28-3 in the second half, we imagine many Patriots fans watching the Super Bowl at NRG Stadium in Houston decided to leave the game early.
It's an understandable decision, of course, as New England had a less than one percent chance of actually coming back to win the big game.
That being said, the fans that left or stopped watching the game and decided to go to sleep missed witnessing the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history as the Patriots did the impossible.
Diehard Pats fan Mark Wahlberg was one of those people that decided to leave the game in Houston early Sunday night before the Patriots mounted their comeback.
Now, before you bash Wahlberg for leaving the game early, take all of the facts into account.
After the win, Wahlberg posted this picture on Instagram explaining why he left early, and it's an adorable reason to say the least.
Family always come first, and while Wahlberg and his family didn't get to see the Pats epic comeback in person, they did enjoy watching it on television together.
And, like any diehard fan would do, Wahlberg consoled and chirped Ludacris and Usher after the win.
