Patrick Mahomes has been nearly unstoppable through his first 20 NFL games as the 24-year-old quarterback has already thrown for 6,576 yards and 60 touchdowns to just 13 interceptions during his career and it’s scary to think that he’s just getting started.

Last week, Mahomes was told at practice that he needed more than one season under belt to get a 99 rating in Madden and that if everything went well in Week 3 there was a chance he would get the boost. Well, after going 27 for 37 with three touchdowns in a 33-28 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Mahomes got the update he was waiting for at Thursday’s practice.

Mahomes becomes just the fifth player to earn an overall rating of 99 in Madden 20, joining Aaron Donald, Bobby Wagner, Khalil Mack and DeAndre Hopkins, and is the quickest player in Madden history to earn an overall rating of 99.

This season, Mahomes has completed 71.9% of his passes for a league-high 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns without throwing a pick through the Chiefs’ first three games.
