Alex Ovechkin is officially a Stanley Cup Champion, so he can pretty much do whatever he wants at this point. With the Washington Capitals getting ready to defend their title in the playoffs this year, Ovi is ensuring that every little bit of superstition is on his side.
However that may come about…
We’ve seen a lot of interesting pregame rituals come out of the Caps captain, and we had another video emerge on Tuesday. Ahead of their clash with the Carolina Hurricanes, Ovi hit up Jakob Vrana with… something weird, and then stared down Carl Hagelin, as usual, and then went chest-to-chest with tough guy Tom Wilson.
We’ve seen the Hagelin staredown before, but the others appear to be new. Vrana may just be happy he’s no longer getting bitten…
