Nevada was one of the heartwarming Cinderella stories of 2018’s NCAA March Madness. It came to an end in the Elite Eight when they fell to the biggest Cinderella Story in the tournament, Loyola Chicago, in a hard-fought one-point game (69-68).
On their way to the Elite Eight, Nevada beat Texas and upset Cincinnati before bowing out. While it’s not unheard of for a seven-seed to make it that far, Nevada’s victories were particularly exciting. One of the unique storylines that came along with the team is coach Eric Musselman’s daughter Mariah. Ahead of Loyola Chicago’s Final Four matchup, she took the microphone to interview some of the players that helped to eliminate her father’s team.
She attacks the interviews with such confidence it’s hard not to laugh at her shenanigans, along with her hilariously childish questions. She didn’t stop at Loyola, either.
It’s not the first time she’s held the microphone this March, she also interviewed her dad ahead of the Cincinnati upset.
The rambunctious 8-year-old seems to have a knack for the screen, so don’t be surprised if it’s not the last time you see from her!
What we really need is for Mariah to interview Sister Jean.
